Nino Negri today represents the Valtellinese wine reality. It is divided into four sub-areas that give the name to the different types of wine produced: Grumello, Sassella, Inferno and Valgella. The territory boasts two DOCG, the first most widespread is the “Valtellina Superiore” the other is the “Sforzato di Valtellina”.

The grapes, such as Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca), Pignola and Pinot Nero, from the Sassella sub-area, are vinified "in red" with a medium-long maceration.

Vigna Ca' Guicciardi has a bright ruby red color of good intensity, an intense aroma of ripe red fruit, with dominant notes of black cherry and currant, spices (licorice, cloves, cinnamon), dried violet; in the mouth the tannins are rich and enveloping, the result of maturation in a warm and bright environment.
The character of the parent rock strongly influences the characteristics of the wine starting from the brilliant ruby red color of great transparency tending slightly to garnet.
