The personality of the wines and the intense taste of the oil have one thing in common: the faithful imprint of the land where they are born. Il Fiano, an ancient village near Certaldo, has been owned by the Bing family since 1940. These lands, unique in terms of exposure and geological origin, are naturally suited to high quality productions.

The lands are exposed to a fan from east to west, for over 65 hectares, and oriented to the south at the Poggio ai Monti vineyard, located at 330 meters above sea level. Another 14 hectares of vineyards are located in Novoli, about 1 km further north-east, in the Vergignolo valley.

The formations that originated the substrates can be traced back to three lithological types: the "tufo", the "mattaione" and pebbles mixed with coarse sand. Near Novoli, the soils are of clayey, loamy-clay substrate, while the 65 hectares of Fiano are of medium texture, tending towards clayey and accompanied by the presence of skeleton, in the form of pebbles.
